Simon Olderskog Albertsen is a drummer on the international jazz scene who currently lives in Malmö, but before he moved here he lived in Copenhagen. What is the differences and the similarities between the cities from a jazz artists perspective and how can we create a better flow and mobility between the cities?

The Malmö-based guitarist Olof Wullt has quickly established himself as a prominent voice within the new generation of Swedish jazz musicians, and after several tours and recordings with the Fredrik Kronkvist Quintet and saxophonist Axel Mårdsjö, his debut album Beat-Heart was released on November 15, 2024 on the Varva Records & Music label.
Beat-Heart paints a captivating soundscape, inspired by dreams and today's everyday environments in Malmö, where ingenious guitar and piano melodies take center stage. With influences from both the 90s New York scene and today's Nordic jazz, the quartet navigates with ease through nine newly written, atmospheric original compositions and an innovative interpretation of a jazz standard.
