Performing artists

Ilaria Capalbo

Rising Italian bassist/composer Ilaria Capalbo is equally at ease building hard-swinging lines and improvising on the whole sound-spectrum of the instrument. Following the release of her critically acclaimed record Karthago in 2022, she has rapidly established herself on the international jazz scene as a gifted bandleader.

Based in Stockholm, Ilaria has earned her stripes as a versatile musician, leading her Swedish quintet, co-leading Italian trio KÓSMOS, alongside Fredrik Nordström in the group DOLORES and in Blue Note/Verve pianist Chihiro Yamanaka’s European trio among others.

She has composed music on commission for Nobel Museum and contemporary Swedish dance company Cullberg.

Klaverdal composes music for a large variation of ensembles, but specialize in vocal and electronic music as well as unconventional settings like in opera or performance art. The music is frequently performed and has won several prizes, such as the prestigious IMEB in Bourges. Mika Akim

Mika Persdotter writes acoustic songs in her solo project aka Mika Akim. After many years of longing for this project to happen, it finally started out when Mika found a Viola d’amore outside of Prague during a visit. S

he started writing simple songs on the theme ‘To my body’ as a healing self-empowering gift to herself and to everyone that might need it. Mika Akim explores the intuitive simplicity of songwriting, with influences from early music, Nordic and American folk music, working with free forms and raw, weird and beautifully acoustic sounds.

She’s mixing the poetic lyrics singing in Swedish, English and sometimes without words. Mika Akim is often joined by Tove Bagge on viola, voice, different instrument and sounds and Ossian Ward on guitar and drums.

In 2022 Mika Akim released her latest album ‘Tillsammans”.

Anna Fält

Anna Fält is a versatile voice artist, folk musician, composer and singing teacher. She works widely within the culture branch, which includes theater stages, art projects and various festivals and venues. Anna has been seen on a variety of festivals and stages around Europe.

"She creates an atmosphere of absolute attention, so intense that the audience first forgets to applaud. — There is good magic and great warmth that flows from Anna Fält's song, where she stands on stage like a forest creature with pointy shoes and long hair"
