Musikvideo open call festival contest in Oulu, Finland.
All expences paid.
Oulu Music Video Festival (OMVF) is the world’s oldest music video festival, celebrating and challenging the intersection of sound and vision for over 30 years.
The festival showcases an eclectic mix of music videos, films, live performances, exhibitions, panel discussions, workshops, and networking events. Hundreds of music videos light up big screens across various venues, while both local and international artists take the stage—including at the festival’s legendary and enigmatic awards ceremony, Pumpeli Gala.
OMVF’s film programming explores the full spectrum of audiovisual expression, from experimental short films and musicals to silent film concerts, A/V live performances, and expanded cinema.
At the heart of the festival is the Finnish Music Video Competition, a cornerstone of OMVF since its inception. In 2025, for the first time, the competition expands internationally with the Nordic Music Video Competition, followed by a European competition in 2026—both part of Oulu’s European Capital of Culture program.
Awards & Prizes
From all submissions, 12 best videos will be chosen to screen at the festival, and their directors will be flown to the Oulu Music Video Festival 2025 to attend the event, with accommodation also paid by OMVF.
The Nordic Music Video Competition winner will take home a pair of Genelec 8351B SAM™ speakers provided by Genelec and valued at €8,000!

The competition is open to directors living and working in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland.
