Magdalena Szuba was in the first batch of participants in the Baltic Artists in Development project in 2019-2020. She enrolled as a manager representing the band Kuba Wiecek Trio. Starting out as a classical pianist aiming for the big concert halls she found out that she was more interested about what happened backstage than onstage. In a talk with Marcus Bader she talks about her introduction to classical music, about the BAID-project and what she has been doing since the first session in Malmö in 2019, where she crafted her five year master plan. She has recently been getting a lot of media attention in Poland for successfully passing the detailed and challenging admission process for Berklee College of Music, Music Business Management programme. The university has awarded her with a scholarship of $ 6000, which hardly ever happens in the Music Business and Global Entertainment department. She also have a chance to be the second Polish woman who will graduate from this prestigious faculty. However, her scholarship covers only a tiny percentage of the fees of a total of 42000 dollars. So, in order to raise funds for the admission fee she started a fundraiser where donors can give Magda a helping hand by donating funds. Find out more here!
